Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises 2018 | Report presented to the 73rd session of the UNGA in 2018 on business and government action to advance the implementation of corporate human rights due diligence as set out in the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, noting that new technology offers the promise of innovative solutions for improving the way human rights impacts are tracked down the supply chain; that significant innovations involve technology to enable workers? voices to be heard, which can enhance both due diligence and remediation approaches, including in supply chains; that Collaborative initiatives are also being explored in several sectors to use blockchain technology to monitor impacts at all nodes in the supply chain; but that at the same time, when using technology, due consideration needs to be given to the risks of undermining good practice
